Betty Albert (Wabimeguil)

Betty Albert (Wabimeguil) was adopted and raised by French-Canadian parents in Northern Ontario. Circumstances eventually brought her back to her Native Canadian father, discovering her birthright as a Cree. She spent the next twenty years of her life painting her experiences of her spiritual journey. She now resides in Cochrane, Ontario where she and her husband operate an Art Gallery and continue together to empower native and non-native people through ceremony, art and music.
